Common questions
How much does a bulk bag cover?
As a rough guide, a bag of MOT Type 1 covers about 6m² at 100mm deep. Fill weights vary, so allow extra.
What's the difference between sharp sand and building sand?
Sharp sand is coarser and used for screeds, concrete and laying paving. Building sand is finer and used for mortar.
Can a bulk bag go on my drive?
Usually, if the lorry can reach and the ground is firm. Choose tight access when you order and we'll send a small van for £50 extra per run.
How is delivery priced?
Delivery is £25 on orders under £275, £10 on orders from £275 to £400, and free over £400, all including VAT. Most items arrive in 2 to 3 working days, and 2-day delivery is £30 extra including VAT.
